Shannon + Alex’s Urban “Woods” Wedding at Church of The Redeemer and Monday Night Brewing, Atlanta GA

Alex and Shannon always wanted a smaller more intimate wedding. Their biggest desires were for them to know every guest in the room and for them to have a great time with great food. They didn’t want family or friends to have to set up or take down. They just wanted it to be a great time. Alex came up with the idea of having the reception at a brewery and that really propelled their whole plan. Their new last name is WOODS and they used that as a theme. Fresh spring feeling with some woods decorations. Shannon made all of the decorations, including the seating chart, and the centerpieces. They kept the church as is for simplicity and because it is just a beautiful church. Alex works there and it was so intimate having his boss, friend, and pastor perform their ceremony. Their guest book was unique that everyone could sign on a branch of a tree and it now hangs up in their entry way. Their food was a local BBQ restaurant that was such a hit and the brewery has awesome beer with a great atmosphere. Overall it was elegant but intimate and such a good time. The most important thing to Alex and Shannon was that their parents enjoyed what they had planned. They live out of state and were only a small part of the planning. They loved everything Shannon did, from the lace gown she wore, their simple flowers that were white, green, with a few navy thistles, to the cotton on the tables, and the food!
